I live in Paris but grew up in Tunisia. My work thrives in the in-between, merging languages and media to explore fresh ways of bringing poetry to life and connecting identity and socio-political issues.
I released my debut poetry collection, Des odeurs de bretzels de barbecue et de weed with 10 pages au carré in 2022, and Au pieu was published by La Contre Allée in 2025. I co-edited the anthology Poèmes à l'usage d'un monde en flammes published by Le Castor Astral in 2026. Addicted to performance, my poetry came alive in bars, concert halls, museums, streets, prisons, libraries of France, Belgium, Tunisia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Sri Lanka, India. My first song Le monde qu'on aime was released on all platforms and my first EP, Mooja, will be released in autumn 2026.
This year, I am also laureate of residencies with Villa Swagatam and Maison Julien Gracq, and will be in Douarnenez for a Rhizomes residency in spring 2027.
I have mostly published poetry, but I also write creative non-fiction and criticism. I am currently working on an autofiction project and on a play. Feel free to reach out for commissions.
I live to read poetry out loud.
Reading out loud bring me joy and confort. That's how I came to the stage. My performances weave together voice, text, collage, video, sound, music, movement, yoga and unfold in theatres, concert halls, bars, bookshops, museums or even on websites or listening platforms, in constant dialogue with musicians, DJs, actors, dancers, visual artists or tattooists. Whether I wrote it or just adopted it, if a text resonates with me, I will find a way to embody it. Reach out if you want me to imagine a reading or a sound poem, in French, Arabic or English.
Over the years, I've spoken about poetry in schools, universities, libraries, bars, prisons, radio shows · in French and English.
I worked as a lecturer from 2023 to 2025 in the Department of Literature at Cergy University, teaching at undergraduate, master's and DU levels.
I have led many writing workshops in schools · most extensively with the Cité Éducative de Pantin with primary school classes throughout 2024-2025, and at Collège Claude Monet in Magny-en-Vexin with middle school students in 2025-2026.
I have also been invited by Printemps des poètes, Le Labo des histoires, Maison de la poésie de Bordeaux, Littérature etc, Les Magasins généraux, la CCAS…
I also offer stage coaching and manuscript editing on request.
